Big 2nd Quarter Lifts Vikes Over Middies

The Princeton girls' basketball team scored twenty-five points in the second quarter en route to a 72-57 win against Middletown on Saturday, December 21 at Middletown High School.
Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 20 points, shooting 4 of 17 from the field. Mitchell knocked down 11 of 13 free throws and dished out 5 assists and 5 steals.
Carlie Pogue recorded another double-double, scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Princton got a huge burst from Olivia Lohmeier off the bench. Lohmeier shot 5 of 7 from the field to finish with 11 points in only 11 minutes of playing time.
Quierra Drake had a solid game, finishing with 8 points and 3 steals.
Princeton had 10 different players score, finishing the night shooting 20 of 65 (30.8%) from the floor.
The Middies held their own against the top ranked Lady Vikes, outscoring Princeton 35-32 in the second half. Middletown was led by Giselle Banks with 19 points.
Princeton (5-1) travels to McAuley on Monday, December 23 for a 7:30pm tip-off.
