Vikings fall short at Fairfield, 50-48

The Princeton boys' basketball team suffered a 50-48 loss to the Fairfield Indians on Friday, December 13 at Fairfield High School. The Vikings drop to 0-3 on the season.
Fairfield and Princeton remained even throughout the first until, but the Indians jumped in front in the third quarter to lead 39-31.
Princeton rallied in the fourth quarter, outscoring Fairield 17-11. Ryan Bricking knocked down 3 of his game-high 19 points to give Princeton a 45-44 lead in the closing minutes. Fairfield closed out the final stretch on a 6-3 run to seal the tough win.
Josh Jasper knocked down 4 three points to finish with 16 points and had 10 rebounds. Jearvon Irvin added 5 points off the bench in the loss.
Fairfield had three players reach double digit scoring. Princeton committed 18 turnovers and shot 37 percent from the floor.
Princeton will seek its first win on Friday as they travel to Middletown for a 7:30pm start.
