Girls Water Polo ends run at Regionals

The Princeton girls' water polo team opened up the Regional tournament with a 11-4 loss to the Sycamore Aviators on Friday, October 18. The Aviators were very impressive in the match as they looked to continue its post-season success from a year ago. Princeton did a good job on defensive maintaining the explosive Aviator defense. Dani Rust and Olivia Sumner finished with 6 and 7 steals respectively. Emilie Bussion, Rust, Sumner, and Ji'Anna Cox each scored in the loss.
Facing elimination, Princeton defeated AMDG 5-3 on Saturday morning. Emilie Bussion paced the offense for the Vikings with 3 goals.
Rust and the Vikings' defense played excellent. Rust led the Vikings with 7 steals. Cox finished the game with 5 blocks in goal.
In the third game of the tournament, Princeton fell 16-7 to a very strong Milford Eagles team. Rust filled the stat sheet with 2 goals, 3 assists, 4 steals, 3 blocks, and 1 earned ejection.
Emilie Bussion had 4 goals, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 4 earned ejections. Rebecca Hotz added 2 steals, and Olivia Sumner chipped in with 2 assists, 3 steals, and 1 earned ejection.
