Girls Volleyball Places 2nd in Princeton Invitational

The Princeton girls' volleyball team hosted its annual Princeton Invitational on Saturday, September 21 at Princeton High School. The Vikings would go 2-1 on the afternoon to capture second place in the four-team tournament.
In game one, Olivia Lohmeier had 10 kills and Adrianna King had 2 kills and 6 aces to help the Lady Vikes defeat Clark 2-0 (25-9, 25-2).
Princeton would carry the momentum against Mt. Healthy in the second match to defeat the Owls 2-0 (25-14, 25-9). Haley VanSkyock finished with 20 assists, majority going to the Lohmeiers who combined for 14 kills. Maddie Lohmeier had 6 kills, and Olivia finished with 8 kills and 6 digs. Jaslynn Miller had a strong performance with 7 digs in the win.
Looking to go 3-0 in the tournament, the Vikings had a tough test against Walnut Hills, who defeated them in the championship match a year ago. Princeton jumped out to a very strong start in the first game, defeating the eagles 25-12. However, the Eagles made some critical adjustments and took the momentum fueled by a strong Princeton audience to defeat the Vikings 25-18 and 25-12.
King finished with 3 blocks and 3 kills, and O.Lohmeier added 6 kills, 9 digs, and 2 aces. M.Lohmeier finished with 9 kills, 9 digs, and 4 aces, and VanSkyock added 15 assists in the loss.
Princeton (6-7) will host Glen Este on Monday, September 23 at 6:30pm.
