Cross Country continues strong start

The Princeton boys' and girls' cross country team continued its strong start to the season at the Fairborn Skyhawk Cross Country Invitational on Wednesday, September 4 at Fairborn High School.
Coming off a third place finish this past weekend, Brandon Mullins set the pace Wednesday afternoon. Mullins placed first overall with a time of 16:25.25 minutes. Ranked 14th in this week's city poll, the Vikings had a strong performance by Trent Barnes, who placed fifth overall in 17:32.92.
Brandon Selmon rounded the Top 25 with a 22nd place finish in 18:55.68.
The Lady Vikes entered this week ranked 9th in the city poll, and continued right where they left off at the Greenville Treaty City Invitational. Princeton, led by senior Lindsay Myers' first place finish, finished first overall. Myers finished in 19:57.39 minutes and consistenly finds herself at the top each race.
Freshman Sara Marshall finished right behind Myers in 20:12.04, and older sister, Sammi Marshall placed fourth overall in 20:50.43.
As a collective group, the Lady Vikes finished in 1:44:47.99, with an average time of 20:57.60 minutes.
Both teams will be in action on Saturday, September 7 as they host its annual Princeton Invitational at Landmark Athletic Complex. First race is set to start at 8:00am.
