Vikings part of 64 team Reds Futures High School Showcase

For the second consecutive year, the Princeton baseball team has been invited to compete in the second annual Reds Futures High School Showcase, presented by PNC Bank.

Senior Vice President of Business Operations for the Cincinnati Reds, and 1978 Princeton graduate, Karen Forgus (pictured) welcomed the 64 particpating schools during a press release on Tuesday, February 19 at the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame and Museum. Tom Gamble, President of In-Game Sports, announced the schedule in front of many coaches, athletic administrators, and media.

The Vikings will take on the Lakota West Firebirds as part of a triple header at Prasco Park (Mason, Ohio) on Friday, April 12 at 5:00pm. Thanks to the Cincinnati Reds and In-Game Sports, showcase games are $5. Tickets will include a voucher for a free View Level ticket to a select 2013 Cincinnati Reds regular season game, and a free Skyline Chili cheese coney.

Advanced tickets for the game will be available in the Athletic Office beginning March 11. The Princeton Vikings will begin the 2013 season under first year skipper Rick Wilson on Monday, April1 against Lakota West at 5:00pm. The game will be played at the historic Gower Park field in Sharonville.
