Vikes Get Revenge on Senior Night

The Princeton boys' basketball team closed out the regular season with a 77-65 win over the Sycamore Aviators on Friday, February 15 at Princeton High School. The Vikings improve to 12-10 overall, and 8-6 in league play.
After falling 66-64 in OT in their first meeting, the Vikings looked to prevent Sycamore from winning the GMC title outright.
Both teams displayed excellent shooting from the field in the first half, each finishing 65 percent from the floor. A back and forth battle featuring 12 lead changes, put the Vikings up 41-37 at the half.
Offensively, the Vikings were led by two seniors in their final home game at Princeton. Dorian Jordan finished 6-16 shooting (8-10 FT's) for 22 points, and dished out 12 assists.
Darius Hilson shot 8-11 from the field to add 22 points. Hilson also finished with 6 rebounds.
Junior Ryan Bricking scored 14 points, and led the team with 7 rebounds. Senior Deiontay Walters finished with 12 points and 4 steals. DJ Lewis, Jordan Bradley, and William Blevins each chipped in with 2 points. Senior Mac Bosel finished with 1 point and 6 rebounds.
The Vikings finished the night shooting 54 percent (27-50), and outrebounded the Aves 32-20.
Princeton will return to the court on Saturday, February 23 against Hamilton in the first round of the sectional tournament. The Vikings will play at Lakota West HS at 7:30pm.
