Lewis leads Vikings over Mason

The Princeton boys' basketball team defeated the Mason Comets 55-50 on Friday, February 8 at Mason High School. The Vikings improve to 10-9 overall, and 7-6 in league play.
Sophomore DJ Lewis score 9 of his game high 17 points in the first quarter to give Princeton a 21-13 lead after the first quarter. The Comets would erase a ten point lead in the second quarter to take a one point lead into the locker room.
The defense intensity would pick up for the Vikings in the third quarter, limiting Mason to just five points.
Back and forth action in the fourth quarter, Mac Bosel would come up with a key stop on defense with just under a minute to play. The Vikings would convert at the free throw line down the stretch, going 10-14 in the quarter.
Lewis finished a perfect 7-7 from the field for 17 points, and posted 6 rebounds in the win. Senior Deiontay Walters added 13 points.
Mac Bosel added 9 points and 7 rebounds, and Darious Hilson chipped in 8 points.
The Vikings take a break from conference play as they travel to Turpin on Saturday, February 9 at 7:30pm. Princeton returns home next week in their final two games of the regular season.
