Mitchell and Walters Receive Student Athlete of the Week Honors

The Princeton Athletic Department and Ruby Tuesday, located at 2235 E. Sharon Road, would like to recognize Kelsey Mitchell and Deiontay Walters for being named this week's Ruby Tuesday Student Athletes of the Week.
Kelsey is a junior on the girls' basketball team. Last week, Kelsey returned back to the lineup after being sidelined since December 1st with a foot injury. In her return, she scored 16 points in limited playing time to lead Princeton over Hamilton 65-40. Later in the week, Kelsey scored 30 points to help Princeton knock off Mason, ranked number two in the state.
Kelsey continues to be a leader for the Lady Vikes this year. Her strong work ethic on the court and in the classroom rubs off to many students at Princeton. She is a leader at Princeton High School.
Deiontay is a senior on the boys' basketball team. Last week, Walters scored 18 points (6-9 shooting, 6-6 FT's), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals in a 61-54 win against Hamilton. On the season, Walters is shooting 53.9 percent from the floor. Deiontay has emerged as a leader for Coach Anderson's team. His strong performances each day for the Vikings is a direct reflection of his character.
