Home » Boys' Basketball NewsVikes Fall In Final MinuteFebruary 6, 2013 Princeton High SchoolThe Princeton boys' basketball team lost in the final minute to Fairfield 60-57 on Tuesday, February 5 at Princeton High School. The Vikings drop to 9-9 overall, and 6-6 in the Greater Miami Conference. The game featured sixteen lead changes, as neither team could extend a lead greater than six points. Down two points with just under thirty seconds to play, the Vikings had two very good scoring chances in the paint. Unable to execute, Princeton was forced to foul with just two seconds remaining. Junior Ryan Bricking led the Vikings with 17 points. Darius Hilson scored 10 points and had 10 rebounds for his fifth double double of the season. Deiontay Walters shot a perfect 4-4 from the floor to finish with 11 points. On the season, Walters is shooting 53.9 percent from the floor (seventh in GMC). Mac Bosel and Jordan Bradley each chipped in with 6 points. Dorian Jordan dished out 10 assists in the loss. As a team, Princeton shot 23-49 from floor. The Vikings were plus seven on the rebound margin. The Vikings will travel to Mason on Friday, February 8 at 7:30pm, before battling Turpin on Saturday, February 9 at 7:30pm.
