Strong showing by boys' swim team

The Princeton boys' swim team defeated Winton Woods 117-10 on Thursday, January 24 at Princeton High School.

The Vikings swept four individual events (1st-3rd place), and placed first and second in each of the relays.

Nathan Steinmetz finished first in both the 200 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle event. Dylan Dykes edged past Erik Spraul for first place in the 50 yard freestyle in 23.04. Spraul finished in 23.05, and placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke.

In the 200 yard individual medley, Trenton Walker finished first for the Vikes. Jake Mazzone and Ryan Adams placed second and third respectively. Mazzone and Adams also finished second and third in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Princeton finished in the top 3 in the 100 yard butterfly. David Spraul finished first, and DJ Svensson and Allen Mott placed second and third.

Dylan Dykes also finished in first place in the 100 yard freestyle.

The Vikings had another strong showing in the 100 yard backstroke. David Spraul would capture his second first place individual finish, and Allen Mott and Thomas Goines would finish second and third.
