The Princeton Lady Vikes snaped their four game losing streak by defeating the Lakota East Thunderhawks 70-56 on Saturday, January 26 at Princeton High School. Princeton improves to 11-7 overall, and 9-2 in the Greater Miami Conference.

Princeton had eight players reach the scoring column, including five players score in double figurers. The Lady Vikes shot 47.4 percent from the field (27-57), and scored 24 fourth quarter points to seal the win.

Markaya Sherman knocked down a pair of three pointers to finish with 12 points. Jada Ballew had a strong game for Princeton. Ballew finished with 10 points from 4-6 shooting, and recorded three steals on defense.

Jasmyn Hardin led the Lady Vikes with 13 total rebounds, as Princeton finished plus 15 on the boards. Hardin also added 11 points in the paint.

Carlie Pogue added 12 points, and Emily Roper scored 10 points, dished out 3 assists, and had 1 block in the win.

Princeton was very effective with their passing, tallying 17 assists in the game. The defense finished with 13 steals, forcing the Thunderhawks to 22 turnovers in the game.

Princeton returns home Wednesday, January 30 vs. Hamilton.
