Home » Boys' Basketball NewsVikes Win 3rd StraightJanuary 19, 2013 Princeton High SchoolThe Princeton boys' basketball team won their third straight game, defeating Mason 53-47 on Friday, January 18 at Princeton High School. The Vikings improve to 8-5 overall, and 5-3 in the Greater Miami Conference. Princeton had a strong performance shooting the basketball in the first half, knocking down 13-28 from the field, including 4-9 from behind the arc to take a 30-17 lead into the break. However, the Comets came ready to play in the second half. Mason shot 11-17 from the field in the second half to cut a 17 point deficit down to single digits late in the game. The Vikings were outscored 16-8 in the fourth quarter, but Mason ran out of time, as Princeton was able to hold on for the win. Junior Ryan Bricking led the scorers with 23 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Deiontay Walters added 19 points, shooting a perfect 7-7 from the floor. Walters also had 6 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 assists. Dorian Jordan also reached double digits in scoring, finishing with 10 points and 5 assists. Princeton will travel to #1 Walnut Hills on Tuesday, January 22 at 7:30pm.
