Strong performance by Vikings in loss

Princeton boys' swim team fell to the Oak Hills Highlanders 99-69 on Wednesday, January 16 at Princeton High School.

The Vikings began the meet off with a first place finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, comprised of David Spraul, Erik Spraul, Jake Mazzone, and Dylan Dykes in 1:46.93.

Princeton received some outstanding individual performances in the loss. Erik Spraul finished first in the 200 Yard IM (2:04.53) and in the 100 Yard Butterfly (58.08). Dylan Dykes placed first in both the 50 Yard and 100 Yard Freestyle.

The Vikings picked up seven points in the 500 Yard Freestyle event, as David Spraul placed second in 5:14.54, and Nathan Steinmetz finished third in 5:35.45. David would also place first in the 100 Yard Backstroke, and Steinmetz finished second earlier in the meet in the 200 Yard Freestyle.

Jake Mazzone placed second in the 100 Yard Breaststroke in 1:12.11.

Princeton will jump back in the pool this weekend in the SW Ohio Classic.
