Lady Vikes Beat Middies, 80-33

The Princeton girls' basketball team picked up win number eight on the season, after defeating the Middletown Middies 80-33 on Wednesday, January 10 at Princeton High School.

Despite a sluggish start in the first quarter, the Lady Vikes would out score the Middies 25-12 in the second quarter to take a 39-19 lead at the half.

The Middies would continue their struggles in the second half, as the defense from the Lady Vikes would only allow 14 second half points.

Nine different players would score for Princeton. Junior Carlie Pogue continued to dominate in the paint, recording her seventh double double of the season. Pogue finished the night with a game high 20 points, and grabbed down 12 rebounds.

Junior Jasmyn Hardin also had a great game in the point, recording a game high 13 rebounds and added 8 points.

Sophomore Corneisha Henderson had another great game off the bench, scoring 12 points off of 4-6 shooting from the field.

Princeton will travel to Oak Hills on Saturday, January 12 at 2:00pm.
