Lady Vikes fall to Mason, 54-45

The Princeton girls' basketball team suffered their first loss of the season against Mason, 54-45 on Saturday, December 15. The Lady Vikes fall to 5-1 overall and 4-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.
Junior Carlie Pogue led the Lady Vikings with her fourth double double, finishing with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Pogue shot 4-5 from the floor and converted 6-6 from the free throw line.
The Comets jumped out in front early in the first quarter, and would hold on to a 31-23 half time lead. Trailing 36-25 early in the second half, Princeton would storm back with quick transition points to outscore Mason 13-8 in the quarter.
Down three points in the fourth quarter, Mason would take advantage of second chance points.
Jasmyn Hardin finished with 8 points and 5 rebounds, and Markayla Sherman added 8 points and 2 steals.
Chelsea Mitchell added 6 points, 3 assists, and 4 steals in the loss.
Princeton finished the afternoon shooting 17-49 (34.7%) from the floor, and 2-13 (15.4%) from behind the arc.
The Lady Vikes will travel to Colerain on Wednesday, December 19th.
