Coach Phillips Wins 200th at Princeton

The Princeton girls' basketball team defeated the Lakota East Thunderhawks 52-40 on Saturday, December 8 at Lakota East High School. The Lady Vikes improve to 4-0 overall, and 3-0 in the Greater Miami Conference.
The win marks a historic moment for head coach Jill Phillips and the women's basketball program. The win marks her 200th win at Princeton. Entering her eleventh season at Princeton, Phillips currently has a 200-37 record. She has guided the Lady Vikes to seven Greater Miami Conference titles, five District Championships, and has won the GMC Coach of the Year five times.
In the game, Princeton was led by junior Carlie Pogue coming off the bench to score a game high 14 points. Pogue also grabbed down 10 rebounds to pick up her third consecutive double double performance.
Chelsea Mitchell scored 11 points off of 5-13 shooting and had 5 assists in the win. Quierra Drake finished with 10 points off the bench for Princeton.
The Lady Vikes had a very strong performance from its bench, outscoring Lakota East 30-18. In addition, Princeton owned the glass. The Lady Vikes outrebounded East 35-19.
Princeton (4-0) will travel to Hamilton on Wednesday, December 12.
