Vikings win at Hamilton, 63-51

The Princeton boys' basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season after defeating the Hamilton Big Blue 63-51 on Saturday, December 7 at Hamilton High School.
Senior Darius Hilson scored 8 of his game high 19 points in the first quarter to help Princeton take an early 16-12 lead after the first quarter. Princeton would take the 32-25 lead into the looker room, despite excellent shooting in the second quarter by the Big Blue.
After an even played third quarter by both teams, Coach Anderson turned up the defensive pressure. The Vikings would limit Hamilton to shooting just 3-13 from the floor. The tempo was in the Vikings favor and the defense would record 5 of their 15 steals in the game, which lead to quick transition points.
Senior Dorian Jordan also reached double figures in scoring for the second consecutive game with 16 points. Jordan led the team with 5 steals.
Senior Deiontay Walters finished the night with 10 points from 5-8 shooting from the floor.
As a team, Princeton shot 25-61 from the field and forced 20 Big Blue turnovers.
Princeton(2-0) will host Lakota East (4-0) on Friday, December 14 at 7:30pm.
