After splitting the season series last year, the Princeton girls' basketball team travelled to Sycamore on Thursday, November 29 for a huge conference game early in the season.

The Vikings trailed 40-33 at the half, but would come alive in the second half to outscore the Lady Aves 41-28 to go on to defeat Sycamore 74-68.

Princeton was led by junior Kelsey Mitchell with a game high 35 points and 6 assists. Mitchell is now 20 points shy of reaching the 1,000 career point club.

Coach Phillips received a strong performance from junior Carlie Pogue off the bench. Pogue recorded her first double-double of the season with 14 points and 13 rebounds.  Princeton's bench outscored the Lady Aves 15-4.

Princeton shot 23-62 (37.1%) from the floor, and 23-31 from the free throw line. The defense forced 18 turnovers, registered 7 blocks and 5 steals.

Princeton (2-0) will travel to Lakota West on Saturday, December 1. Junior Varsity begins at 12:30pm, and the varsity game set to tip-off at 2:00pm.
