Home » Girls' Basketball NewsLady Vikings Are Ready for 2012-2013 SeasonNovember 13, 2012 Princeton High SchoolComing off of a 21 win season, the Lady Vikes have their eyes set at winning its fourth consecutive Greater Miami Conference Championship, and to make a strong run in the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Tournament. Princeton returns several key players from last season, including the only senior, Emily Roper, who has verbally committed to play softball at Elon next season. Joining Roper is junior Kelsey Mitchell, who is ranked by ESPN Hoopgurlz as the number one player in the nation. In addition, Mitchell has recently been named to the American Family Insurance All-USA Today Team. Balancing the strong attack by the Lady Vikes is second team all conference player from a year ago, Chelsea Mitchell. The Vikings will also look to Jada Ballew, Jasmyn Hardin, Corneisha Henderson, Carlie Pogue, Quierra Drake, and Aleah Hunn. Freshmen Markayla Sherman and Lajessica Olverson will also provide great weapons for Coach Jill Phillips this season. The Princeton Vikings will open up the season against Mercy in the Cincinnati SportsMedicine Girls High School Shootout on Saturday, November 24 at Cincinnati State at 3:45pm. Shootout tickets will be $6 for adults, and $4 for students. Tickets will be good for all shootout games.
