Boys' soccer scores late to earn tie

October 12, 2012
Princeton High School

The Princeton boys' soccer team tied Glen Este 1-1 on Thursday, October 11 at Viking Stadium. The Vikings end the regular season with a 5-4-7 overall record, and 2-3-4 in the Greater Miami Conference.

The night marked the final home game for seniors Jake Bent, Nick Cocco, Nikhil Mehta, Mohamed El-Sayed, Mamadou Bah, and Maleck Dem as each were recognized for their commitment with the boys' soccer program.

Despite plenty of opportunities on offense, the Vikings would fall behind 1-0 until the 20:00 mark in the second half. Senior Nick Cocco would attack the Trojans defense inside the 18 yard box, and find sophomore Andy Rolfes for the score.

Princeton will get ready for the first round of the sectional tournament on Monday, October 15 at Fairfield High School stadium. Game time starts at 7:00pm.
