Asheville Reynolds hoops coach leaves for West Henderson

REYNOLDS — Change has truly been the only constant in recent months for Mountain Athletic Conference boys basketball.
Reynolds coach Billy Phillips resigned Thursday to accept the vacant position at West Henderson, making the Rockets the fifth MAC program to change boys coaches since the 2010-11 season ended in late February.
Phillips replaces Rob Bliss, who resigned last week after going 60-47 in five seasons at West Henderson.
“I’ve always thought of West Henderson as one of premier jobs in Western North Carolina,” Phillips said.
