NCHSAA grants appeal to Green Hope and Panther Creek

CHAPEL HILL - Green Hope and Panther Creek high schools got what they asked for.
After appealing to the N.C. High School Athletic Association Board of Directors on Tuesday morning, the two schools will remain in the current Tri-9 Conference with other Wake County schools in the upcoming realignment.
The proposal drafted by the NCHSAA Realignment Committee sent Green Hope and Panther Creek to the PAC 6 Conference, a conference made up of schools from Durham and Roxboro.
"I think the big thing is that we feel the sense of community and the sense of rivalry will stay in tact," Green Hope Principal James Hedrick said.
