Narveson, Smith headline Roberson Hall of Fame class

SKYLAND — Chris Narveson looks down at his left arm and feels blessed to be in Major League Baseball.

But no matter how his latest outing goes, the Milwaukee Brewers pitcher knows that reassurance is just a phone call away.

Narveson, now in his 13th year as a professional, still keeps former Roberson coach Tom Smith on speed dial.

Together, the two are part of the latest class for the Rams’ “Ring of Gold” athletics hall of fame which will be inducted May 5 at Biltmore Baptist Church in Arden.
