BOLIVIA - Late Tuesday night, Brunswick County Schools reinstated Jimmy Fletcher as head football coach for West Brusnwick High School.
Fletcher's reinstatement came nearly three and a half months after his removal following the 2011 football season. After West Brunswick finished 4-7 and 3-3 in the Waccamaw Conference, Fletcher was fired as head coach Nov. 29 2011. Fletcher, who is also a guidance counselor at West Brunswick, contested his removal and was ultimately successful.
Now, after his reinstatement, Fletcher said he plans to continue coaching the Trojans for a 10th season.
"I just felt like I had to do what I had to do to get it back and it worked out," Fletcher said. "I'm excited, I'm ready to move forward."
