Cherry hits 1,000th point in Eagles' win

Cherry, who has already verbally committed to play at North Carolina, scored 20 points to lead West Craven to a 52-13 win over Jacksonville (1-10, 0-4) on Friday.

Cherry now has 1,017 points at West Craven (13-0, 4-0. She eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in the first quarter.

Destinee McDougle contributed 11points and Khadijah Bryant had seven.

The third-ranked Eagles (13-0, 4-0 Coastal) host White Oak on Friday.
