[Print]Home » Boys' Golf News2A Golf TournamentOctober 10, 2008 By Dion Hargrove of Buffalo Island Ctl Hs
Nathan Whitlow fired an 82 in regional golf play at Cooper\\\'s Hawk golf course in Melbourne to qualify to play in the 2A State tournament. It was held at Turkey Mountain golf course in Horseshoe Bend on October 6. He was honored just to be representing Buffalo Island Central. We hope you enjoy our pictures of the course and can see some "action" shots of the practice round on Sunday. This cool Monday morning was excellent weather for all 70 golfers to tee off in an eventful day of competition. The course seemed to challenge everyone in some way. It\\\'s rolling hills and fast greens gave Nathan difficulty when compared to "our flat land". He shot a 95 for this day and ended up in the top half of boys 2A golf. (32nd of the 70) Nathan is a sophmore with two more years to compete. This experience was good for him. He had a great time. Thank you BIC for all your support.
