Continue your basketball career into college

January 8, 2009
By Adam Endorf of Alaska

The University of the Virgin
Islands is currently looking to recruit five women's
basketball
student-athletes.   UVI is an accredited U.S.
University with
excellent academic programs located in St. Thomas,
U.S. Virgin Islands with a
great campus that includes a beautiful beach and an
excellent arena (Duke,
UConn, Notre Dame, Michigan and most of the major DI
teams have played in the
arena during the Paradise Jam Basketball Tournament).

UVI women's team plays at a
low DIII level - and our team made the playoffs last
year.  If a girl was
an average player on your team she would  probably be
a very good player
in our league.  Our 81 year old league (LAI) is made
up of twenty
Universities in Puerto Rico (all accredited U.S.
Universities)   -
and it is an excellent league.   Our league
championship game is
televised in Puerto Rico and has about 6,000 in
attendance.

This is an excellent situation for
a girl that loves basketball and wants the experience
of playing college
basketball - with the added experience of playing in
various parts of the
Caribbean.  We have had a number of girls from the
states come down who
have had a great experience  - including many who
planned to try it for a
year and decided to stay and complete their education
at UVI.

The five in-state waivers were we
granted recently allow us to grant in-state to these
students - costing about
$1,900 per semester - plus room and board which is
about $3,000.   We
have very nice dorms and cafeteria on-campus.

Female athletes who would like to learn more about an
opportunity to extend your basketball career, please
contact me at my
information below.
