Sept. 11 -- Story to come
East Carter (6-1-2) and Mason County (3-4-2) tie 0-0 on Tuesday night in Grayson. The Raiders held a 21-10 edge in shots, including a 13-4 advantage in the second half. It was the first scoreless tie for both in 12 games. East Carter remains unbeaten in its last seven home games and improves to 4-0-2 this season. Mason County, which played without two seniors, is unbeaten in its last three games. Royal GK Adam Maves had seven saves. East Carter won the girls' match up 5-0.
Pre-game notes: Mason County (3-4-1) travels to East Carter (6-1-1) for a boy/girl soccer doubleheader, with the boys' contest scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start. The Raiders are playing the second game of four straight at home and their lone loss of the year was by one goal (6-5 at Russell on Sept. 4). The Royals are 2-1-1 in their last four outings and are 1-1-1 on the road. East has not lost at home since last September and is 4-0-1 this fall. Mason won last year's meeting 3-0 in Maysville and has captured the last three games in the series.
