The Cougars rushed 57 times for 426 yards, led by junior Kody Thornsberry with 18 carries for 149 yards and 2 TDs. Jordan Whitt added 117 yards on 11 carries and scored three times. Thornsberry also had a 50-yard punt return for a TD. Pendleton County (0-4) finished with 23 yards on offense, but scored twice on kickoff returns (Austin Pyles 75-yarder and Kyle Silbersack 81-yarder). Results Scoring Stats Pre-game notes: Football tonight -- Morgan County looks to start its season 3-0 overall and 2-0 at home for the first time since 2004 when it tangles with visiting Pendleton County (0-3) at 7 p.m. The Cougars defeated the Wildcats 66-23 in Falmouth last year. Pendleton is playing its third road game of the season and last won away from home in the final contest of the 2011 campaign. Morgan County’s Kody Thornsberry will look to add to his 299 rushing yards.
